Tournament Conditions of Entry Entries close Tuesday 16th March, 2010 in accordance with Tennis Victoria regulations Tournament Manager - Chris Chandler - Email: chris@chandlertennis.com All competitors may enter in one singles and one doubles event, both in the same age group. See condition 3. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY I. All entrants are to be current registered Playing members of Tennis Victoria or another member association and provide their Registered Player Number. 2. Entries will not be accepted from players who have entered in conflicting events or potentially conflicting events. 3. Players may enter one singles and one doubles event, both in the same age group. Players Losing up to & including the round of 16 in singles events are automatically entered into the COMPULSORY feed in event. 10 & under players may play 11 doubles. 4. Players are reminded that entry into the singles events automatically includes entry into the feed-in event subject to Optus Junior Tour regulations. Players that withdraw or are no-shows will be penalised under the Code of Conduct. 5. The Committee (including the Referee) managing the tournament will have entire control of the tournament. 6. Events are open to boys and girls provided they are the age or under as at 30th April, 2010. 7. I acknowledge that as a participant in a Tennis Australia sanctioned event I agree to comply with the ITF Rules of Play, the Tennis Australia Events Disciplinary Policy (including its reference to spectator behaviour and interference), the Tennis Australia member Protection By-Law and the Tennis Australia Anti-Doping Policy. 8. Inappropriate spectator behaviour could result in denial of entry at future Tennis Australia or Member Association sanctioned events, and will be dealt with in accordance with these policies. This includes, but is not limited to tennis venues, hotels and transport vehicles. 9. I consent to be involved in any publicity connected with a Tennis Australia Sanctioned Tournament, including media intrviews, photographs and TV footage. Please inform the tournament organiser if you do not wish to be involved in publicity. 10. I consent to Tennis Australia and/or organisers of Tennis Australia sanctioned tournaments to use details provided on the entry form to communicate information about this and future tournaments, via post, email or SMS. 11. It is recommended for every athlete to be a member of an afiliated tennis club within their state of residency. 12. As an entrant in this event, Tennis Australia recommends that your coach is a Tennis Australia certified coach. This will ensure that the coach has currently updatd his/her coaching credentials, has been police checked and has an updated first aid qualification. 13. I acknoledge that all Tennis Australia policies can be readily viewed at www.tennis.com.au and that it is my reponsibility to view these and seek clarification, if required, from Tennis Australia. 14. Competitors must be ready to play when called upon by Tournament Committee and/or the Referee. Any competitor not being ready to play within a reasonable time when called upon or refusing to play may be disqualified by the Referee or Deputy. In the event both competitors are unable to play, absent or refuse to play both players will be disqualified. 15. The Tournament/Venue Manager and the Referee shall be sole judges as to whether the courts are fit for play and shall decide as to whether a match will be postponed, shortened, changed to another venue or played under lights. 16. Events will be seeded by Tennis Victoria using the latest Australian Rankings available. 17. Regulation tennis costume must be worn (Tennis Australia Dress Regulation) and appropriate regulation tennis shoes. 18. The Committee reserves the right to cancel or combine an event if the number of entries are deemed to be unsatisfactory. 19. Players may withdraw from this event at 5pm, 14 days prior to the commencement of the tournament, without incurring any penalty. All withdrawals must be in writing (email, mail, fax, not via SMS) supported by suitable evidence (e.g. medical certificate), and delivered to the Tournament Director before the end of the event. A Code Violation will be issued if a withdrawal is unexcused or where the supporting documentation is not received within the timeframe. 20. The Tournament Referee reserves the right to alter the length of matches due to unforseen circumstances. 22. Trophies will be awarded to winners and runners up in all main draw singles & doubles events. Prizes will be awarded only to the winners of the feed in consolation events. 23. Seedings will be based on the latest Australian Rankings available at the time. 24. All main draw matches will be the best of three tie-break sets. All feed in and doubles events will be best of 2 tie- break sets, with a match tiebreak (10 points) deciding the match if players are locked at one set all. The 10 & 11 years and under age groups may be a Round Robin event, depending on entry numbers. 25. The Referee & Court Supervisor system of monitoring will be implemented at this tournament 26. Matches may be scheduled under lights, depending on entry numbers (only at Frankston Tennis Club). 27. The Head ATP tennis ball will be used exclusively during this event. 28.
